What EverCharge wants to get out of the redesign? How can the redesign help us to be more competitive in the market?
Based on insights gathered from the team and an evaluation of Glance's current design, I identified three primary user pain points and outlined how the new design aims to effectively address each of these issues.
Regarding business needs, how can our new design help attract more users and enhance user satisfaction?
Research:
Uncover Weakness and Identify Best Practices
I utilized Competitive Analysis & Swot Analysis to identify best practices in the industry that can be adopted or adapted for our design and highlight unique features and strengths, making it easier to communicate our value proposition to potential users.
Competitive Analysis
After the discovery process, I conducted a competitive analysis of five competitors, comparing their dashboard app designs to ours across five key aspects: layout, functionality, visual design, features, and UX design.
Feature Comparison
Discover gaps in what we offering, identify opportunities for differentiation, and ensure that Glance meets or exceeds industry standards.
Perceptual Map
Visualize how users perceive different products or services along various dimensions: information delivery and visual design.
SWOT Analysis
By conducting a SWOT analysis, we can develop a well-rounded strategy for the redesign of Glance™, addressing internal and external factors to maximize the chances of success and ensure the product remains competitive and aligned with user needs.
Aligning with Engineering, Marketing, and Design Teams on Redesign Goals and Requirements
After conducting competitor research and a SWOT analysis, I collaborated with stakeholders to prioritize features and functionalities based on user needs and business objectives. I also met with the engineering and marketing teams to understand their goals, expectations, and business requirements for the redesign from their perspectives.
Based on what I learned from the user research and competitive analysis, as well as the suggestions I received from the engineering team, I brainstormed new features we could include.

Glance™ Final Design
This project is protected by a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), so I am unable to share specific design details here.
However, I’d be happy to discuss my approach, process, and key learnings during an interview.
Takeaway:
The most valuable lesson I’ve learned is that effective design goes beyond aesthetics—it must also address functionality, align with our company's goals, and strengthen our brand. This project was a departure from previous experiences, as it involved working with real clients and navigating business constraints. As a designer, I must balance these factors thoughtfully to create impactful deliverables.

This experience has helped me develop my professional skills as a UX designer and strengthened my abilities in teamwork and task management. Moving forward, I am eager to apply these lessons and continue advancing toward becoming a more proficient and impactful designer.
